What are the traditional brew methods of Vietnamese Coffee?
One popular method is to use a "cà phê phin," or "Phin" which is a small, single-serving metal filter that fits over a coffee cup. To use a cà phê phin, you will need coarsely ground Vietnamese robusta coffee beans and sweetened condensed milk.
To brew the coffee, you will first place the metal filter over your coffee cup and add the ground coffee to the filter. Then, you will pour hot water over the grounds and let the coffee drip through the filter into the cup. Some people like to add a spoonful of sweetened condensed milk to the bottom of the cup before brewing the coffee, while others prefer to add it after the coffee has finished brewing.
