What is the meaning behind the name? Tio Lucas coffee was named after Angela's uncle and Don Jose’s Brother. His name was Lucas and the word Tio means uncle. Tio Lucas loved chocolate and all things sweet, he was Don Jose’s younger brother & helped him on the farm. Tio Lucas married a Brazilian Woman and spent his last years in Brazil. We use the image of the country flag in our Salazar Range labels. What are the traditional brew methods? Brazilian Coffee is traditionally prepared using a colador (cloth filter) The colador is widely used in South America. The filter coffee is then served black with sugar or without and is often referred to as Cafezinho. Colco Recommendations Due to the chocolatey and nutty undertones, this coffee is a good choice for espressos when making Cappuccinos or Lattes.
